DESCRIPTION:This program is focused on the technological and material 
 challenges individuals and families face when preserving photographs\, 
 recordings\, and digital artifacts before they're lost.\n\nPresenter Cal 
 LaFountain combines practical guidance with real-world examples from 
 libraries and cultural archives\, and is designed to give audience members 
 actionable tips they can apply to their personal archives.\n\nRegistration 
 is optional and begins Thursday\, May 21\, at 9am online\, by phone\, or in 
 person at the Information Desk. Sign-ups close one hour before the program 
 starts\, or when registration is full.\n\nSeating begins 15 minutes before 
 the event start time.\nPlease stay home if you are sick.\nLibrary staff may 
 photograph or videotape portions of this event and its attendees for use in 
 promotional materials and on social media.\n\nThis event is generously 
 sponsored by the Friends of the Howell Carnegie District Library.
