Disease Prevention: What You Don’t Know About Your Local Health Department Online

This month's virtual League of Women Voters Forum will be led by Matt Bolang, the Health Officer of the Livingston County Health Department. His presentation will cover the various program areas within the Livingston County Health Department and how the department works to keep the community safe. Topics will include Environmental Health and Personal Preventive Health program areas, such as drinking water quality, food safety, nutrition assistance, communicable disease investigation and prevention, emergency preparedness, and more.

Matt is a graduate of Brighton High School, with a B.S. in Natural Resources from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a M.S. in Public Administration from Central Michigan University. He has 25 years of experience working for Livingston County Health Department, holding the positions of Groundwater Specialist, Director of Environmental Health, and was recently appointed as the Health Officer.

Registration is required and begins Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 9am, closing one hour before the program starts. The Zoom meeting link and password will be emailed to registered participants prior to the program. See below for technical requirements.
