Family Science Challenge (Outdoors)

Family Science Challenge (Outdoors) In-Person

Work together as a family to build a structure that can withstand an earthquake. Each family will be given supplies to work with and will test out their design on a shake table and then have the opportunity to modify their structure and test it again. Best for families with children aged 7 and up; siblings are welcome. This event is free. 

Registration is required and begins at 9am on Monday June 13. 

Please register under one family member's name and indicate the number of family members attending. Please use this name when you check-in.  

Please note:

  • Don't forget sunscreen, hats, and/or bug spray. In case of poor weather, this event will occur in the library. 
  • Please stay home if you are sick.
  • This event takes place at two times so you can select the time most convenient - check our calendar.
