Start of Summer Family Slam (Outdoors)

Start of Summer Family Slam (Outdoors) In-Person

Get ready for summer and sign up for our 2022 Summer Reading Challenge! Enjoy fun outdoor family activities for all ages, including balloon animals, giant bubbles, a reading trail around the library, yard games, and more. Drop-in; no registration required. This event is free. 

Event will include the following:

  • Bring a picnic blanket as Summer Lunch Bunch will be serving free meals 11:45am-12:15pm on a first-come basis. Meals are free & for anyone to enjoy.
  • Catch a ball thrown to you by HHS Robotics Team, Scots Bots, and make your own BristleBot while supplies last
  • Check out the Highlander Reading Express and all it has to offer as well.
  • Read "From Head to Toe" by Eric Carle while walking around the library grounds, put together by Women United.
  • Find out more & Register for our 2022 Summer Reading Challenge for ages 0-100! 
  • Learn about Talking is Teaching, Great Start Livingston, and more.

Please note:

  • Don't forget sunscreen, hats, and/or bug spray.
  • In case of poor weather, this event will occur in the library with limited seating available. 
  • Please stay home if you are sick.
