Preschool-aged children will love getting their hands dirty while they learn all about worms. Parents/caregivers should attend and plan to help their child as needed; siblings are welcome to watch but there are only enough supplies for registered 3-5-year-olds to participate in the workshop. This event is free. 

Registration is required and begins at 9am on Thursday, June 23. Please register your child(ren) who are 3-5 years old and will participate in the workshop.

Limited space. The workshop runs 45-60 minutes. This hands-on workshop is for children ages 3-5 years old and is presented by Mad Science of Detroit. 

Please note:

• Please bring a tarp/blanket for your family to sit on. Don't forget sunscreen, hats, and/or bug spray.
• In case of poor weather, this event will occur in the library with limited seating available. 
• Please stay home if you are sick.
• After this PreK workshop, there will be a family science show presented at 11am by Mad Science of Detroit (drop-in; no registration required) - check our calendar for details. Bring a picnic blanket, as the Summer Lunch Bunch will serve a picnic meal 11:45am-12:15pm. Meals are free & for anyone to enjoy, available on a first-come basis.
