Michigan's Clean Slate Laws Explained: How to Clear Your Criminal Record In-Person
Criminal record set-asides, also called "expungements," can make a drastic difference for someone looking for work, housing, or applying for credit. In October 2020, the Michigan Legislature enacted a group of bills collectively known as the "Clean Slate" package. Now citizens can "clean their slate" and eliminate most crimes from their record so that their history will not become a life sentence to poverty. We will provide resources that will make it easier for you to get help, and Bill Livingston, an attorney at the Livingston Law Firm and Vice President of the Livingston County Bar Association with over seven years of courtroom experience, will guide you through the process of expunging a criminal record. This expungement information session is free to anyone that attends.
No registration required. Seating begins 15 minutes before the event start time.
