Due to inclement weather, the Beginner Yoga classes and Yard Games are canceled. The Flu Shot Clinic and Take & Create kits pickup will now be inside the Library on the main level near the front entrance today from 11am-2pm.

Promoting the health and wellness of our community's bodies and minds, the second annual Health Happens @ Your Library! is an outdoor event featuring:

• Flu Shot Clinic with Walgreens
  • Flu (influenza) vaccinations for ages 4 and up
  • Drop-in, no advance appointments
  • While supplies last; first come, first served
  • Free through most insurance companies, please bring proof of insurance; limited availability for uninsured
  • Read about the key facts and benefits of a flu shot from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

• Special Take & Create Kit Pickup
  • Pick up the materials for a special Health Happens event project to take home to make
  • For all ages, preschool through adult
  • While supplies last; first come, first served
  • Find out about how crafting helps ease anxiety and promotes healing and well-being.

• Beginner Yoga with Candy Jones-Guerin, the Free Spirit Yogi
  • Three 30-minute mini-classes scheduled for:
    • 11:15am - 11:45am: Restorative Yoga
    • 12:15pm - 12:45pm: Gentle Yoga
    • 1:15pm - 1:45pm: Gentle Hatha
  • Bring a yoga mat or beach towel
  • Drop-in, no advance reservations
  • Depending on space, please attend only one mini-class

This outdoor event is weather dependent. A decision will be made at 10am the morning of the event. If it cannot take place outdoors, the Flu Shot Clinic and Take & Create Kit Pickup will move indoors.
