"50: The History of WKBD-TV Detroit" with Christopher Lock Online
Discover the fun, fascinating history of Detroit’s homegrown television station WKBD-TV Channel 50 with author Christopher Lock. From its meager beginnings in 1965 to its growth in local and syndicated programming, hear the story of the most popular shows, local personalities, and behind-the-scenes anecdotes of the station Metro Detroiter’s called their own.
Author and proud Michigan native Christopher Lock has a keen interest in local and regional history and has written numerous books on Metro Detroit including his newest, 50: The History of WKBD-TV Detroit.
Registration is required and begins Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 10am, closing one hour before the program starts. The Zoom meeting link and password will be emailed to registered participants prior to the program. See below for technical requirements.
