Science Club: Pollinators (grades 3-6) Online
Pollinators play a vital role in our ecosystem. Without them, we would starve! Join us as we explore how these tiny helpers carry out their important task by building them a pollinator hotel. Next, we will get dirty and roll some seed bombs that you can plant to help our little friends. Finally, we will build a simple bath for our hard working pollinators to get a drink. Pollination is messy business, so please have some wipes or other cleaning materials available for our dirty hands.
After registering, attending this event has 2 steps: supply pickup followed by live virtual instruction.
Step 1: Register below, beginning 10am on Monday, March 29. Please register each individual child that will need a kit & be participating. Class is geared toward students in grades 3-6.
Step 2: Each registered attendee can pick up a Science Club kit containing all needed supplies. Drive up to Curbside Pickup at the back door of the library Monday, April 12 - Saturday, April 17 during the Library's curbside hours (Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm & Friday-Saturday 10am-2pm). Tell library staff what you're picking up and the registered name(s).
Step 3: Live virtual instruction will take place over Zoom on Monday, April 19, 6:30-7:15pm (about 45 minutes long). Have your kit & excited self ready to go and log-in to Zoom a few minutes before 6:30pm.
You will receive a confirmation email when you register & you will receive an email reminder 1 day prior to the class from "Library Events Home" - both emails will contain the zoom link.
