Social Justice Book Club

Social Justice Book Club Online

Join HCDL Director Holly Ward Lamb on a journey of discovery and self-reflection through monthly book club discussions as we explore issues of social justice, including racism, whiteness, feminism, queer rights, and more.

This month we will discuss the book Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson.

In this #1 New York Times bestseller, the founder of the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama recounts his experiences as a lawyer working to assist those desperately in need, reflecting on his pursuit of the ideal of compassion in American justice.

Registration is required and space is limited. Registration is open now and ends 24 hours before the event starts. The Zoom meeting link and password will be emailed to registered participants prior to the program. See below for technical requirements.

Reserved copies of the month's selected book will be available for registered participants to borrow from digitally and physically through the Library. If you wish to get the book (whether electronic or print) through the Library, please indicate so when you register and we will contact you to arrange that.
