Gingerbread needs your help! He ran away from the little old lady & the little old man, now he needs to hide from the fox. Help keep the gingerbread man safe by creating a disguise for him.

This creative activity will entertain all ages - please register each person that would like to participate.  After registering, participants will pick up their foam gingerbread man shape, bring it home and use supplies on hand to create their best disguise, then return the disguised creation to the library for display. One lucky random participant will win a winter boredom kit and a gift card to the Ceramic Studio - be sure to write your name and phone number clearly on the back of your creation to be entered into the drawing!

Details:

Step 1: Registration starts at 10 am on Monday, November 16, and will end on Saturday, November 28 (please call 517-546-0720 x107 or email youth@howelllibrary.org to ask about availability after November 28).

Step 2: Pick up your foam gingerbread man cuttout from Curbside Pickup at the back of the library near Clinton Street, Monday, November 30 - Saturday, December 11 during the Library's open hours (Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm & Friday-Saturday 10am-2pm); please call 517-546-0720 x107 or email youth@howelllibrary.org to ask about availability after November 28.

Step 3: Bring your foam gingerbread man home and use supplies you have on hand to create a disguise however you would like... you can make him a costume of your favorite book character or disguise him as an animal or even hide him behind something - be as creative as you'd like!

Step 4: Return your completed project between Monday, December 14 and Monday, December 21 (at curbside or at a service desk inside during open hours, Mon-Thurs 10am-6pm & Fri-Sat 10am-2pm). Be sure to write your name and phone number clearly on the back in order to be entered in the drawing... One lucky random participant will win a winter boredom kit and a gift card to the Ceramic Studio!

Fine Print:
All entries will be displayed in a Facebook album (without names) and in the back door window of the library Monday, December 21 through December 30. Each participant with a legible name and phone number on the back of their entry will be entered into a drawing - one lucky random winner will get a winter boredom kit & gift card to the Ceramic Studio. The winner's name will be announced (first name only) on Facebook.  By registering & submitting an entry you are agreeing to these terms.
