Social Justice Book Club Online
Join HCDL Director Holly Ward Lamb on a journey of discovery and self-reflection through monthly book club discussions as we explore issues of social justice, including racism, whiteness, feminism, queer rights, and more.
For the months of October and November, we will discuss the book Stamped from the Beginning by Ibram X. Kendi. This month's discussion will cover the second half of the book: Parts 4, 5 & 6 and the epilogue.
Registration is required and space is limited. The Zoom meeting link and password will be emailed to registered participants prior to the program. See below for technical requirements.
Reserved copies of the month's selected book will be available for registered participants to borrow digitally through Hoopla (available to Howell library district residets only) and physically through the Library. If you wish to get the book (whether electronic or print) through the Library, please indicate so when you register and we will contact you to arrange that.
This is the final session of the Social Justice Book Club for 2020. The SJBC will restart in January 2021. Keep an eye on our website, www.howelllibrary.org, for when we announce the dates and titles.
