Commit to Fit: Women’s 5K Training In-Person

The Playmakers Women’s Training Team is back to support women of all abilities achieve the goal of running or walking a 5K. Start at our informational meeting on Thursday, July 18, 2019 in the Library’s Meabon Room. Seating begins 15 minutes before event start.

Then train twice a week, Mondays and Wednesdays, for 10 weeks (Monday, July 22, 2019–Wednesday, September 25, 2019), weather permitting. Meet at 7:00pm the Library’s back entrance.

Learn from Debbie Richards, a Road Runners Club of America running coach, about good form running/walking, stretching, and more in a fun and judgement-free environment while training on a 5K route. There is no registration for this free training program.

Our goal run is Julianna’s Wishes “Miles for Smiles” 5K/10K Walk/Run on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Howell High School. Separate registration with fee is required for this race here: Julianna’s Wishes “Miles for Smiles”.
