Teen Volunteer Session: Help at Summer Reading Kickoff Party (ages 14-17 with work permit) (Outdoors) In-Person
Teens (ages 14-17), with a work permit*, can earn volunteer hours and support the library by signing up for our Teen Volunteer Sessions. Each individual shift requires registration. During this session, volunteers will help us run the outdoor Summer Reading Kickoff Party for preschool and elementary-age children.
Please register to volunteer for this session ONLY if you enjoy working with younger children, are 14-17 years old, and have a work permit to volunteer at the library.
Registration is required and begins at 9am on Monday, May 18. When you arrive for your volunteer shift, please check in at the Youth Services desk on the lower level of the library.
*Work Permit Information:
1. A work permit is required. Find out more about work permits here.
2. Please complete the appropriate form:
- Teen Volunteer work permit (ages 14-15) for the Howell Carnegie District Library.
- Teen Volunteer work permit (ages 16-17) for the Howell Carnegie District Library.
3. Have your school's issuing officer complete and sign the work permit:
- Howell Public Schools: Bring to the high school office
- Homeschooled: Parent is the issuing officer
- Other Districts: Please check with your high school office
4. Email the completed application to youth@howelllibrary.org, or bring it to the Youth Services desk in the library prior to your shift's start time.
