CANCELED: Adaptive Literacy Class (for ages 6-17 with developmental/neurological disabilities and parents/caregivers) In-Person

This class has been canceled. The next time it will be offered is Wednesday, December 10. We apologize for the inconvenience.

 

This free literacy class features rhymes, songs, stories, and a letter of the day for ages 6-17 with developmental and/or neurological disabilities and their caregivers. A visual schedule and timer, fidgets, and other adaptive tools will be on hand. Please feel free to bring your own as well. 

Parents/caregivers will participate with their child(ren). Registration is required and begins at 9am on Wednesday, September 24. Please register the name of one person from each group/family who will be attending and indicate how many in your group/family plan to attend.

Please note:

  • You may bring your favorite fidgets or comfort items.
  • A minimum of 6 registered participants is necessary for this event to proceed as scheduled.
  • Stay home if you are sick. 
  • Library staff may photograph or videotape portions of this event and its attendees for use in promotional materials and on social media.
