Polar Bear Models: Arctic Awareness (grades 3-5) In-Person
Polar bears are incredible animals that face numerous threats to their survival. In this event, participants will imagine what life is like for these majestic creatures and follow in the footsteps of Margaret “Mardy” Murie, who is known as the grandmother of the conservation movement. Participants will sculpt polar bears on an ice floe and use paints and mixing mediums to create effects resembling the fur of these animals and their Arctic habitat.
Registration is required and will begin at 9am on Tuesday, December 16. Please register each child who will attend.

This free event takes place during Howell Public Schools' holiday break.
Please stay home if you are sick.
Library staff may photograph or videotape portions of this event and its attendees for use in promotional materials and on social media.
