Novel Bites: Beach Reads

Novel Bites: Beach Reads In-Person

Join us on Monday, July 28, from 7:00-8:00pm for a sun-soaked evening at the lake! We'll dive into the world of beach reads, discussing books by best selling authors Emily Henry and Carley Fortune at the picnic area of the City Boat Launch. We will enjoy ice cream while chatting about their latest novels, our favorite summer stories, and what makes a perfect beach read.

Please note this is an offsite program - we will be meeting at the picnic area of the City Boat LaunchParking in the boat launch lot requires a parking pass, which you may obtain through City Hall. This pass is required to park in that specific lot. However, local street parking in the area is free; if you don't have a pass, you can still park on the nearby streets without any cost. Attendees are responsible for checking for parking restrictions and city signage.

Registration is required and begins Monday, June 16, at 9am online, by phone, or in person at the Information Desk. Sign-ups close one hour before the program starts, or when registration is full. A minimum of five(5) registrants by 4pm Friday, July 25, is required for this program to proceed as scheduled.

Registrants are encouraged to bring a camping or folding chair! The library will try to secure a picnic table but cannot guarantee their availability.

Novel Bites is a monthly book discussion where stories are savored and snacks are shared. Each gathering features a lively conversation around a selected book paired with light appetizers or snacks to enjoy while we chat. Whether you're here for the fiction, the food, or the fun, Novel Bites offers a relaxed and engaging way to connect with fellow readers.

Please stay home if you are sick.
Library staff may photograph or videotape portions of this event and its attendees for use in promotional materials and on social media.
