Honoring Veterans: "Taking Chance" at Historic Howell Theater In-Person
This Memorial Day we invite you to join us at Historic Howell Theater, 315 E Grand River, to view Taking Chance, the remarkable true story of Lt. Colonel Michael Strobl escorting the remains of Lance Corporal Chance Phelps back to his hometown in Wyoming.
Honor and mourn our fallen combat veterans, find comfort in gathering, experience the film as a community, and hear experiences and reactions to the film from a small panel of community veterans. Panelists include Ramon Baca, Veteran Services Director, and Adam Moore, who served with Chance.
No registration required. This event is free and open to the public. Theater doors open at 3:00pm. Movie runs from 4:00pm to 5:15pm. Panel discussion from 5:15pm to 6:15pm.
Please stay home if you are sick.
Library staff may photograph or videotape portions of this event and its attendees for use in promotional materials and on social media.
