Funny You Don’t Look Autistic Book Discussion

Funny You Don’t Look Autistic Book Discussion In-Person

Join us for light refreshments and a discussion of Funny, You Don't Look Autistic by Michael McCreary. This discussion will be facilitated by guest Kasey Hilton, family advocate at the Arc Livingston.

Like many others on the autism spectrum, 20-something stand-up comic Michael McCreary has been told by more than a few well-meaning folks that he doesn't "look" autistic. But, as he's quick to point out in this memoir, autism "looks" different for just about everyone with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Registration is required and begins on Thursday, March 13 at 9am online, by phone, or in person at the Information Desk. Sign-ups close 1 hour before the program starts, or when registration is full. Those who register by end of day March 27 will receive a copy of the book. Information regarding pickup prior to the program will be sent to the email used to register for the program.

Seating begins 15 minutes before the program starts, at 6:45pm. Attendees may enter the building through the Grand River doors up until 7pm when the library closes.
