Researching House History: Discover the Stories Within In-Person
Every old house has a story to tell. Do you know the story of your historic home? Who lived there before you? What was your house like when it was first built and what changes took place over the years? Tracing your home’s history is a fascinating journey and everyone that undertakes a project of this magnitude will need to be equal parts architectural historian, research librarian, detective, and genealogist. Once complete, the information you gather and the document you create will disclose many untold stories that future generations will thank you for.
Howell resident Debbie Mikula will share the journey she took to document her 1910 home’s history. Joining her will be Liz Van Sickle, who will share the wealth of information and reference materials that are available to all who want to document their home’s history through the Howell Carnegie Library Archives.
No registration required. Seating begins 15 minutes before the event start time.
Please stay home if you are sick.
Library staff may photograph or videotape portions of this event and its attendees for use in promotional materials and on social media.
