Winter Solstice Yoga Nidra In-Person
The holidays often present a dizzying array of demands. Constant overstimulation can lead to holiday stress and depression. Yoga nidra is a practice of deep relaxation. In this restorative yoga class without movement, physical, mental, and emotional activity comes to rest, and may offer the additional benefit of sleeping soundly on the longest day of the year.
Registered yoga instructor Sophie Montesanti will guide you through this special winter solstice yoga nidra. Participants are welcome to bring a mat, pillows, and blankets to keep them warm and relaxed on the carpeted floor.
Registration is required and begins Saturday, December 7, at 9 am online, by phone, or in person at the Information Desk. For this event to proceed as scheduled, a minimum of 5 registered participants is necessary. Attendees may enter the building either through the front doors on Grand River or the Clinton Street doors in the rear of the building. Please plan to arrive and settle in a few minutes before the class starts promptly at 3:45 pm. The library will be closed when the class is over, so everyone must exit through the Clinton Street doors when the program ends.
Please stay home if you are sick.
