Cryptids Decrypted with Andrew Kercher

Cryptids Decrypted with Andrew Kercher In-Person

Join us for a history of curious cases when mysterious creatures turned out to be all too real! Everyone knows famous cryptids like Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster, but there are many more mysterious creatures around the world. From not-so-extinct fish to animals now common to zoos the world over, hear the stories of animal demystification. If you described a kangaroo to someone who had never seen one before, would they believe you?

Andrew Kercher is a professional historian with a degree in history and philosophy from Albion College and a MS in Historic Preservation from Eastern Michigan University. He has worked at museums around the state and is currently the Community Engagement Manager at the Port Huron Museum.

No registration required. Seating begins 15 minutes before the event start time.
Please stay home if you are sick.
