Great Michigan Read Book Discussion: Firekeeper's Daughter

Great Michigan Read Book Discussion: Firekeeper's Daughter In-Person

Join us for a book discussion on the 2023-24 Great Michigan Read, Firekeeper’s Daughter, by Angeline Boulley. As a biracial, unenrolled tribal member and the product of a scandal, Daunis Fontaine has never quite fit in - both in her hometown and on the nearby Ojibwe reservation. When her family is struck by a tragedy, Daunis puts her dreams on hold to care for her fragile mother. The only bright spot is Jamie, the charming new recruit on her brother's hockey team.

Registration is required and begins Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 9am online, by phone, or in person at the Information Desk. Sign-ups close one hour before the program starts or when registration is full. For the program to occur, a minimum of four registrants is required by Thursday, May 2.
