League of Women Voters Forum: A Conversation with Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel

League of Women Voters Forum: A Conversation with Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel Online

Come join the conversation with Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel who will provide updates about election protection, financial transparency from our elected officials, and a legal update on several environmental concerns. A former criminal prosecutor and civil rights attorney, Dana Nessel was sworn in as Michigan’s 54th Attorney General in 2019. Now in her second term, AG Nessel has been recognized for her work as a staunch advocate on behalf of Michigan's residents and resources, defending our democracy and our environment from harm.

Also joining us will be Terri Wilkerson, a founding member of the League of Women Voters of Livingston County, to give us background information on Line 5, and Stephen C. Brown, a local chemist who represents the Sierra Club in national discussions about PFAS and excess nutrient problems, such as the increasing algae bloom in the 170 Livingston county lakes and throughout the state.

Registration is required and begins Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 9am, closing one hour before the program starts. The Zoom meeting link and password will be emailed to registered participants prior to the program. See below for technical requirements.
