Director's Choice Book Discussion with Holly Ward Lamb In-Person
Join Library Director Holly Ward Lamb in an engaging discussion of Amor Towles' The Lincoln Highway on Wednesday, October 4, at 6:00pm. The Lincoln Highway debuted in 2021 at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. It was also a New York Times Notable Book for 2021 and was chosen as a best book of 2021 by NPR. From NPR Review, "...hitch on to this delightful tour de force, and you'll be pulled straight through to the end, helpless against the inventive exuberance of Towles' storytelling. Again, one of the ideas Towles explores is how evil can be offset by decency and kindness on any rung of the socio-economic ladder."
Pro reader's tip from Director Holly Ward Lamb: "This book is long, but takes place over ten days. I read it a "day" at a time and was able to complete it in ten days. It is worth reading!"
Check out a copy from the library or from Overdrive/Libby!
